He was born in Guarda in 1962, moving to Coimbra, where he currently resides, in 1987. He attended a painting course between 87-92, having completed a master's degree in Aesthetic Communication in 2008.
From 95 he became interested in digital arts culminating in a specialization in 2008 with the thesis "Authorship in Digital Art".
In 2008 he began to take an interest in video art and the activity of curator / artistic producer in several associations, which he would develop until 2018.
It begins its artistic course with a formal search in the line of Matisse and Miró that would culminate in a monochromatic painting something performative and concetual that would develop between 87 and 95.
In 1995, there was an interest in the digital arts that would lead to abandonment of painting and a growing interest in the installation and later in video art.
It is in the midst of this new configuration that a new creative phase, centered on photography and video, will
emerge with the creation of symbolic characters of the evolution of their aesthetic and philosophical concerns.
The first character "Unknown Artist" reflects his vision of the artistic system, criticizing it harshly, leading him to deny the art itself and its intrinsic system.
Through a "symbolic burial", Vieira detaches himself from this character and begins a new search, this time centered on mysticism and alchemy.
But this "idealistic" view is suddenly crossed by the ardor of life, symbolized by a second character who comes to dualisar Rompeschiena: Mister Du.
The action of Mister Du on Rompeschiena humanizes the character and raises his action to a cosmic scale incomportable by the dichotomy of the previous personages.
This is how Alnirus appears, a cosmic version of the union of the two previous characters, in a union between the body and the human consciousness.
